About the Shinco SDZ1-80P Wi-Fi Dehumidifier
The SDZ1-80P is ENERGY STAR certified and rated 24 pints a day under the federal test, which models a basement at 65°F. In hot, wet conditions (95°F and 90% relative humidity) we rate it up to 80 pints a day, and for spaces up to 5,000 square feet.
You check and change the humidity from your phone over Wi-Fi, or on the touch panel: 30 to 80% in 5% steps, a 24-hour timer, two fan speeds and a child lock. The unit stops the compressor when the room drops 5% below your setting and starts again when it rises 5% above.
Water goes into a 1.32-gallon tank, or out through the 23.6-inch hose. It rolls on 360° wheels.
The SDZ1-80P Wi-Fi Dehumidifier is part of the Shinco range.

Questions
Shinco SDZ1-80P Wi-Fi Dehumidifier: questions
Why is the SDZ1-80P called an 80-pint unit if ENERGY STAR lists 24 pints?
Two tests. The 80 pints is the brand figure at 95°F and 90% humidity. The 24 is the federal figure at 65°F, the condition of a basement, which every certified dehumidifier is measured on. Our pints guide walks through both.
